Increasing interest rate will reduce spending power of companies on new investments , job cut happens ,and people will start spend less due to increase in price.... basically it will reduce the overall demand over a period of time...when demand reduces prices should go down over all period of time...during this time goverment has to borrow money with high interest rate and people also start saving money so majority of the money will be going to rbi or government means people will not have money to spend more at the peak of less demand. However this is cyclic operation..at one point supply will be reduced than demand and that point interest rate will be reduced and company borrow money more and produce lot and at the same, employees get more work and people get jobs and also at time people feel no interest for thier savings and start spend more money...
